Welcome Winter!
Thanks for sending your children so well dressed for the early winter we have experienced. Please make sure all items are labeled as they all look very similar and the students (and their teacher ;)) gets confused!
Yesterday many students in room 10 wore orange shirts in honor, respect and remembering of the survivors of residential schools. We read the story When We Were Alone, in this story the students were introduced to the stories of residential school survivors. They were very sad and mad how the children were not allowed to speak their language and their braids were cut off. They said "they made them not strong by cutting their hair".
